Summer POPS!

Hi,

Long time -no blogging. What can I say I got really distracted with instagram and had nothing fun to share. I thought it was time I did a fun fashion round up about ice pops or popsicles depending on where you're from :)

I've been in love with this watercolor ice cream/pop print (Kate Spade bag #2) since a saw it a few months ago.
What sounds better in the summer time  than a cold refreshing popsicle. It's officially summer in Texas,  it hit over 90 the other day so yeah that's my marker........anything past the 80's and you can't call it spring anymore! I love a happy, fun print and what's more fun then ice pops in the summer time.

Cats with Glasses

I talked about how much I love t-shirts and critters prints in my past posts, so it's no surprise some of my favorite t-shirts have critter prints on them. I found this cute pink one at JCP the other day, then I started seeing cats with glasses everywhere so here are some of my favorites :)

I actually got out this weekend and went to a museum it was awesome, here's more of what I'm excited about now!

I got to see some of his favorite photographs at an exhibit this weekend, it was so great to get out and be inspired. His photography is amazing!

3. Summer Movies
Summer is ending soon, but there are still some great looking movies I have yet to see.
Like Phillip Seymour Hoffman's last thriller "A Most Wanted Man" 
 & on the goofier side "Guardians of the Galaxy" I've been a Chris Pratt Fan ever since Everwood so needless to say I'm pretty excited for this one. And on a hilarious side note, I love that Nan Lawson did a Rocket the Raccoon drawing lol :)

5. I saw this story online awhile ago, about this girl painting Van Gogh's Starry Night on a thrifted dress for her prom, now that's dedication to a project!  And what do you know I was perusing Modcloth the other day, and I found a Starry Night dress. Anyway just wanted to share.

pineapples & flamingos

I've been noticing a lot of pineapple and flamingo motifs for summer, I really like the tropical feminine feel of fruit & birds. Here are some of my favorites:

Random fashion stuff

I really like this Marc Jacobs dress, it has lines that actually flatter and it has pockets, which is a big deal for me :)

But alas it's pretty pricey

Here is a dress from Modcloth that has a similar idea at at more reasonable price.

It even has button tack details on the sleeves, I love the little details :)

Marc also has really cute tech accessories, like these animal smart phone cases.

 They are so cute they make me want to get an iPhone!

Also he has flash drives and coin purses! I love when a theme is carried through in many different forms.

Ok enough about that, I had a super great time at the craft show, I saw some people I didn't see at the last show so that's always fun and I've been sewing another softie so I plan to post about both of these things later in the week. Hope everyone is having a marvelous Tuesday!
